Frank H. Duffy wood floor refinishing company was started in 1927. Our company remains a family owned business with three generations of expertise in the wood flooring industry. We have built a reputation since then of upholding quality, offering timely service, fair pricing and the backing of all of our products and workmanship. Our experience in wood flooring is unsurpassed. Having completed numerous jobs over the years in the Boston area, we know what to expect of the floors. We have worked in houses on most streets in the area, if not your home, then probably a neighbor's. We know what to expect of flooring hidden under carpeting or tile. We are experienced in the repair of wood floors and sub floors and do offer disposal facilities. References are always available on request. We are proud to claim as customers, the Museum of Fine Arts, Gardener Museum, Jordan Hall, MIT, Harvard University, Governors, Senators and Judges homes, all of whose names you would recognize. The Company installs wood floors: traditional straight strip, plank, border patterns, feature strips and inlays. Our people work with the customer in designing a particular look that appeals to the customer. The bulk of our work is refinishing existing floors. Our workmen go well beyond the industry norm in providing level, clean, smooth wood floor surfaces. The company offers staining in a wide variety of colors and shades, as well as polyurethane and stays in touch with up to the minute technologies in new finishes and products such as water base finishes and pastel stains as they appear on the market.
